The Working Actor Show Business Workshops Summer Intensive

What type of agency representation do you need or have, is it working for you?  How can you get into auditions that are appropriate for you without an agent?  How can you find out what is going on in the industry long before auditions are sent out over Breakdown Services?  How can you prepare for specific auditions?  Image, color and your head shots.  What are you projecting and what do you really want to project?  (Bring your current picture/resume for this.)  Is your picture and resume working for you?  Or are they working against getting you in the door? 

Participants who are ready to take part in the workshops should have at least two contrasting monologues, be prepared to read cold copy, a picture and resume and possess the ability to deliver on the materials they've prepared.  In order to land a job actors must always be prepared to demonstrate the proficiency of their craft.  These workshops are limited to a maximum of 12 individuals - therefore it is important that the individuals registered are in a position to make the highest and best use of the information and resources shared.  

Over the summer months we are happy to provide intensives for groups of 8 to 12 individuals.

Summer Intensive Workshop dates are by private arrangement and generally run 6 hours. Come prepared to work and to take notes.

By design the workshops are small in order to focus individually on you and specifically determine various approaches to produce the best outcome in your particular circumstance.  We will put our heads together and brainstorm - considering what you have tried in the past - what has worked - what has not - finding a fresh approach while avoiding pitfalls.  You must come ready and willing to participate at your highest level.  That means implementing strategies during the course of the intensive - mapping out a plan of action and actually taking steps in a call to action which you will begin immediately.  There will be at least two follow-up consultations per person to track your progress within the weeks following the intensive.

 It is all about you and your professional acting career.  Put all else aside for this intensive, with a solid focus you may be surprised what can be accomplished.

Positions are limited to 12 individuals.

Location:  The Intensives are a special and unique opportunity and we are willing to hold them at any reputable Midtown Manhattan rehearsal studio organized by our host.  It should provide video equipment a means to record and play back your performances.
